October 2011 was a very nice October. At the beginning and end of the month we had some days with a moderate or strong wind, but at the end of the month all those days were with a wind coming from the East, so the adverse effects on diving were very, very limited. We had 9 really sunny days, way above average, and 27 days that were at least partially sunny. Only 4 days, all at the start of the month, were wet and overcast. This also influenced the average temperature, making October 2011 warmer than usual.

All in all, October 2011 was a very good month for diving. We could reach all divesites all month, the Similans trips managed to go to Richelieu Rock, and we even started diving at our housereef again on 31 October! And to top it all off: there was a whaleshark sighting at Hin Daeng.
