Divemaster Course

Divemaster is the PADI and dive industry name, with SSI the course consists of two parts: Diveguide and Divemaster. To make things as easy as possible, we will call the combination of both 'Divemaster'.

Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational diving begins with the Divemaster program.
Working closely with Steven, Master Instructor, in this program you'll expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to the professional level. The Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.

During the Divemaster program, you learn dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study. You complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organise and solve problems. You put this knowledge into action through a series of practical training exercises, like assisting with several different diving courses and guiding fundivers. With SSI the focus is more on guiding, with PADI on preparation for an Instructor Development Course (IDC). But the basics of both programmes are similar.

The Divemaster Programme

During your Divemaster Course with Phuket dash Scuba dot Com you'll go out on different boats and work together with different instructors. This means you can learn from everybody in the area. Classroom sessions will be held at our diving center, where we have an air-conditioned classroom and all the materials you will need during your course.
As much as possible, we will first do knowledge development on a subject directly followed by the practical application.

The total divemaster course takes about 3 weeks, provided at the end of the course you have reached the 60 dives required for certification. If you need to make more dives to reach this number, the course will take a bit longer.

The total costs for the course are 38,000 Baht. Included in this price are all boat trips, beachdives, classroom and pool sessions necessary to meet all the performance requirements. Extra dives to reach the required 60 are not included in this price. Also accommodation is not included in this price.

And for just a bit more we can offer you something extra: the combination of the SSI and PADI and Divemaster course.
